HEAD GAMES RESURRECTED!!!
Yes, HEAD GANES has come out of hiding! Due to nunerous requests to play everywhere from casinos to cruises, the band has decided to accept a few choice offers and reunite with 2 new members. Simon Walsh was recruited to play bass and Mike Hack has jumped in to play keyboards. These 2 talented musicians bring new life and vigor to the band and many years of experience playing the NYC/Long Island music scene. You will be seeing them rock the stage with HEAD GAMES on Sunday June 29 at Trump Marina, Atlantic City for Fake Fest. They played there last in 2005 and it was a blast! There are a few more choice shows in the works, so check back for more updates.

SAD NEWS
It is with great sadness we note the passing of our friend, keyboard player, and bass player Jose Damien. He played keyboards for Head Games and bass for Legacy. He also was mastermind for progressive rock band Celestial Oeuvre. Jose was a friend and brother to us all and one of the most talented musicians you could ever meet. Words cannot express how much Jose meant to us all in Head Games and Legacy. His generosity and sincerity as a friend, as well as teacher, go beyond all boundaries. Please go to the link highlighted above to experience his vision of music and get to know first hand the man and his legacy. Love to all his family and friends.

CATCHING UP AGAIN!!!
Wow! It's been almost a year since our last update. The search for a keyboardist goes on. In the meantime the rest of the band has formed a classic rock cover band called LEGACY to keep busy. Playings songs by Boston, Journey, Foreigner, Queensryche, Styxx, and many others. Their next show is this Friday, July 13 at Yerman's Irish Tavern in Glendale, NY. For directions go here . Show time is 9 PM sharp. Their is a SPECIAL GUEST appearing at the show. Someone all local metal heads know and love. Shhh! Secret...
Mike Ledesma is busy working with Ted Poley of Danger Danger and Vic Rivera of Adrian Gale. They played a packed show at The Cup Complex in NJ earlier this yeara and debuted the new material as well as D2 favorites to a capacity crowd which included members of XENON and many other metal bands.
Mike has alsp teamed up with drummer Mike Dagostino and former bandmates from WILD AUGUST to record original material for submission for movies, tv shows, commercials, etc.. The material is varied and exceptionally well recorded and produced. Some samples will be made available for listening sometime soon.
Till next time: Keep the faith!

CATCHING UP!!!
Soryy it's been months since the last update. We hope you're still with us. SO MUCH is going on!
Singer Mike Ledesma has been very busy working with Ted Poley from Danger Danger and Vic Rivera from Adrian Gale on Ted's solo material. Mike sang background vocals on his latest release "Collateral Damage" on Kivel Records, Adrian Gale's former record label. You can check out Ted's website and order his cd by clicking here. Vic is an old friend of Mike's from the band Hangtown, a Lamour's , Brooklyn metal outfit that was managed by the owners of the Rock Capital of Brooklyn, THE PLACE to be, see, and hear the best metal in the 80's and 90's. The place that spawned such bands as White Lion, Tyketto, Overkill, Biohazard, and Type-O-Negative. Anyway, Ted and Vic have written new material that can only be described as amazing. They are presently being courted by several labels to release it. Please visit Ted's site and his and Vic's myspace pages at: Ted Poley and Vic Rivera.
HEAD GAMES is looking for a new keyboard player. So, pass the word around. Gigs are being turned down due to this situation. If there are any kb playhers out there who can sing background harmonies, please contact the band by clicking here.
The website is still being re-vamped and will be up sometime soon. We appreciate your support ,guys and gals, and we WILL rock for you very soon! Cheers!

NEW GIG!!!
Yes! HEAD GAMES will be returning to The Bayou in Mt Vernon, NY on Saturday, March 11, midnight show. Opening for the band will be Journey tribute band Separate Ways. As once mentioned before, the band is on a kind of hiatus for the time being due to personal commitments. So, this show will be the only one for the next few months. This will be your ONLY chance to see the band rock out some Foreigner tunes! Besides, The Bayou serves a great cajun/Louisiana style cuisine, and has a cozy atmosphere with a crowd that LOVES rock and roll! Plus, there is limited seating, so you might get turned away if you don't get there early. They are strict with fire rules.

January 16, 2006

SAD NEWS

He will be missed by his many friends and loved ones, including us. Our thoughts are with him and his family. You can get to know him in his own words, by clicking here . We all love you, Cory, and you will always be in our hearts.

HEAD GAMES would like to thank everyone who came to the show at Trump Marina and to the venue for their hospitality. Some fans drove 5 hours just to see the show.! The band extends their warmest, heartfelt, thanks to those who braved the traffic, the distance, and the heat to rock out in Atlantic City. DANGER DANGER!!!
Singer Mike Ledesma was asked to provide background vocals on former Danger Danger frontman Ted Poley's new solo cd for Kivel Records. Old friend Vic Rivera is co-writing/producing and playing on Ted's new project, and according to Mike L they've created some major kickass rock and roll. They recorded up in Tarrytown, NY at Chunky Studios and layed down the background vocal tracks on 4 songs penned by Vic and Ted. Mike will be layering more bg vocals on a few more tracks in the coming weeks. You can visit Vic's Myspace page by clicking here . Danger Danger fans will be sure to love Ted's new cd, as this new cd showcases Ted's distinctive vocal sound we all know and love. Stay tuned for more updates...

GUEST BOOK DELETED!!!
We have discovered a new and very pretty guestbook that was recommended by some internet security experts. We are working on integrating it within our website and it should be up soon. Stay tuned for the new HEAD GAMES GUEST BOOK PART DEUX, and a spritzer-type revamping of the web site!

March 27, 2005

GUEST BOOK REVAMPED... AGAIN!!!
Yes, we were hit again by some hackers. The guestbook was breached, but no serious damage was done. Only an annoying message announcing it. In a way, this is a good thing. These hackers let us know, in their own unique style, that we still had holes and to please plug them up. They could just as easily have done more damage. So, we upgraded our guest book to the latest version, which we are still tweaking, and this one has no known security flaws. ...gulp...
As you can see, we are going through some changes on our website and will have a nicer looking one very soon. Please, bear with us.

This is a show NOT to be missed!
The set list that HEAD GAMES will be performing will be posted in a day or two. It's still being finalized due to a substitute keyboard player being necessary. And the song list had to be accomodated a bit. Regular k.b. player Jose Damien has a prior engagement with his other band, Gael Force. Sitting in for Jose is original k.b. player for HEAD GAMES, Jon Lloyd.
Keep your date book open for this Saturday night!

NEW TRIVIA QUESTION!!!    PLUS IMPORTANT BOOKING INFO.
There is a new trivia question this month. A pretty hard one, too. Check it out by clicking on the QUIZ button on the left. Winners receive a free gift.
(For those of you interested in how the music business works)
When inquiring about booking HEAD GAMES to play at your venue, we would like to make it clear that the riders, or contracts, required to book the band are primarily for long distance shows at the big venues, where hotels, airfare, and other neccessary accomodations are involved. All serious entertainers use them. All the larger venues will not book any act without them. They provide legal protection for all involved. It's smart business. For the more local shows where no air travel or accomodations are needed, of course, different arrangements are made.
If you would like to inquire about booking the band for your venue, just click the BOOKINGS button on the left, and all your questions will be answered promptly. So, go ahead. Click it! Book us!

June 16, 2004

TRIVIA WINNER!!!
This month's TRIVIA winner is Korey B. Whitaker! He wins a free gift from HEAD GAMES. He somehow knew that FOREIGNER's original name was TRIGGER. It wasn't as obscure as we thought, I guess. Next month's question will be a little harder. Congratulations, Korey!

TRIVIA WINNER and OTHER NEWS!
This month's Trivia Quiz winner is Lisa Kern. She correctly identified before anybody else Ian MacDonald and Al Greenwood as two other members of the original lineup of FOREIGNER. She wins a free gift. Congratulations Lisa!
In other news, the LISTEN page now has mp3 links that should work on every browser. There were complaints that browsers with Windows XP weren't showing the buttons to download the Real Audio and MP3 audio files. That's because naughty Bill Gates excluded Java support on his new XP operating system. The new links are just below the 2nd set of buttons. Let us know if there are any other problems on our web site by clicking here .

HEAD GAMES CD and TRIVIA QUIZ!!!
In order to meet the demand of our fans, Head Games will soon make our CD available for purchase. It will include all the songs already on the web site, plus a bonus track. The audio quality will be far superior to the mp3's on the LISTEN page. However, since the tracks aren't full songs, averaging about 2 minutes a piece, the CD will be accordingly cheap. Dirt cheap!
Also, look for the monthly Foreigner trivia quiz. The winner will get either a free Head Games cd, 8x10 photo, or a spot on the guest list for an upcoming Head Games show. So, sharpen up on your Foreigner skills and may the best person win!

A review for the show at A's Cafe was posted on the Foreigner Chat site by Jon, a great Head Games/Foreigner fan. You can read the review by clicking here. Thanks for those awesome words, Jon. Hope to see you at The Village Pub in Port Jefferson on November 14th.
This is a show NOT to be missed. Headlining is Evolution, the legendary Journey tribute band, featuring the amazing Hugo; a Steve Perry look-a-like who truly exudes the Journeyman's 80's persona and vocal prowess. Foreigner and Journey in one night, on the same stage! Long Island will rock till it sinks! You can't go wrong.
Be sure to ask for our free temporary tattoos at our shows.
Yes, we've managed to create some neat little temporary tattoos you can splat on your body, face, hands, legs, the back of your neck, anywhere you want. They wash off after a day or two. Jim, is that right? It's the "H" logo you see in the background on the web site, and here & there as a button to get on our mailing list.
The Guest Book is FINALLY, & for sure this time, up and running.
This guest book is on our server and dedicated to & managed by Head Games. It will be improving in appearance as time goes by. PHP & MySQL are not for the faint-hearted. You computer geeks know what I'm talking about. And, you won't see any annoying ads or banners. Just comments from friends, family, fans, enemies, etc. So, post to your heart's content. Enjoy!

Head Games drummer Mike Dagostino Last night was another rockin' night for Head Games. It was a rainy night in Bergenfield, NJ, but the crowd at A's Cafe was ready for some Foreigner, nonetheless. New Head Games temporary tatoos were given out and a couple were seen adorning an arm or two by the end of the night. The fabulous T K Walker band finished the night performing their rock classics. Thanks to Mike the drummer from TKW for lending his drums to Mike D (inset, at Le Bar Bat) for their set. The Village Pub, Port Jefferson, NY is next in November.(photo by Alvery Guiler)

October 13, 2003

This Friday is the A's Cafe show in Bergenfield, NJ. Don't forget! Mark it on your calendar, now. Head Games are opening up for the TK Walker Band, a popular classic rock cover band with a long track record. Two additional songs are being performed Friday night: "At War With the World" & "I Want To Know What Love Is." The latter will be showcasing the enormous and ebullient vocal harmonies the boys are capable of.

September 29, 2003

Former Head Games guitarist Jimmy Luckey Saturday night was a blast at Le Bar Bat in NYC. Foreigner's music blasted the huge, former, NYC church. It was another great turnout. That's Jimmy (former guitarist for Head Games) on the right at Le Bar tearing into "Dirty White Boy". The show was filmed for a special DVD being put together. A few new songs were added to the set list. They were "Heart Turns to Stone," "Waiting For a Girl Like You," and "Prisoner of Love." They say the NYC crowd is a tough one. But, Le Bar Bat was ROCKIN' Saturday night. Especially on "Hotblooded" and "Juke Box Hero", where they were dancing even on the balcony. The staff at Le Bar are a friendly and likeable bunch. Some friends and family came from as far as the Green Township, NJ and Nyack, NY areas. Not to mention the farthest reaches of Long Island. And a sprinkling of Queens, Staten Island, and Manhattan. But, the biggest turnout was from Jon Loyd & Mike D. territory: Brooklyn! Next stop: A's Cafe, Bergenfield, NJ, Friday, October 17. See you there! (Photo copyright 2003 by Alvery Guiler)

September 17, 2003

Next week's Village Pub South show is definitely on, barring any unforseen circumstances. So don't forget. Even though singer Mike L has been further diagnosed with small nodes on his vocal chords, singing isn't a problem if care is followed. In 3 months his chords should be healed. But, talking after a show will be minimal, if at all. So, please don't take offense if he just smiles & nods enthusiastically after Friday's show. He might even talk in sign language. Just humor him.
Guitarist Jim Luckey brought the brand, spanking, new HEAD GAMES banner to practice. Looks awesome. Great job, Jimmy!

This weeks A's Cafe show, as well as all rehearsals, were cancelled due to singer Mike Ledesma developing slight laryngitis. This was due to a bad allergy season. His dr's. told him to not sing for at least a week & to limit talking, too. It's always a blow when a gig is cancelled. Hopefully, we'll see you all at the The Village Pub South, on August 29th. See the SHOWS page for details. Apologies to Mark at A's Cafe .

Today Mike L and Jim went to see Lou Gramm at the Readington, NJ Ballon festival. Jim saw the whole show, but Mike only caught the last three songs. He got lost on the way! Jim says Lou was in good form. The band was tight. Stand out songs were Head Games, Dirty White Boy, and Juke Box Hero. Set list: Ready or Not, Dirty White Boy, Heartache, Double Vision, These Tears Must Fall -new song, Waiting For A Girl Like You, Just Between You and Me, Rev on the Red Line, --drum solo--, Lost In The Shadows, Blue Morning, Blue Day, I Want You, Head Games , Midnight Blue, Jukebox Hero, You Can't Do That - Beatles, & Hot Blooded. The sound was good even though guitarist Rockett told the guys they didn't even get a sound check. Their rendition of The Beatles' song was excellent. A real treat. The best part was meeting the band & Lou himself after the show. He was warm, friendly, & gracious.

Exciting news today! The band was picked up by Coallier Entertainment. They handle Twisted Sister, Thin Lizzy, Bad Medicine, Evolution, 70's rockers Angel, & many other acts. Check out Coallier Ent. at: www.coallierentertainment.com and click on Tribute Central. Look for Head Games & there you are! Coallier is run by the inimitable Danny Stanton, formerly of the metal band Wild August, whose former members include none other than HEAD GAMES drummer Mike Dagostino. Small world!

The web site is officially online! It's pretty primitive, but with the design & development team of Jim, Mike L, & Mike D, it won't be long before it's up to speed. The smart thing to do is to design it BEFORE you go online, but, hey, this is rock & roll.

Finishing touches were put on the final mix of the Head Games demo. Six songs in all were recorded, but only four were deemed suitable for the actual demo cd. Because of budget restrictions 1-2 minute excerpts from each track were recorded instead of the full songs. And just 3 are being uploaded to the soon-to-be online web site. The fourth song may be swapped with one of the other 3 songs from time to time. John Campos produced, engineered, & mixed the project at his own Powerhouse Studios in Astoria, NY. John worked with Mike L in Lamour's metal band Hangtown some years ago & John recently worked with Alex Skulnick from Testament on his latest instrumental release.
